Restore Pinned Tabs Chrome
Posted : admin On 26.08.2019I tend to keep a lot of tabs open in my browser. Some of them are pages I haven't had a chance to read yet, while others are items I'm queuing to write about in the coming days. The thing is, I don't want to leave my computer running just so I can keep all these tabs 'live.' Nor do I want to bookmark them, as I don't intend to store them permanently.
Session restore is a handy feature available in all major web browsers including the Microsoft Edge in Windows 10. The session restore feature saves information about all open tabs before closing the browser and automatically opens previously open tabs so that users can resume work where they left off. Chrome 'Add To Taskbar' Issue. And when Chrome tries to pin to taskbar it screws up my pinned Chrome icon in the taskbar) Open the shortcut on the desktop (which has the right icon and is simply named). Installed an app and then I went to chrome://apps and found that all of the tabs that I tried adding to the taskbar were there and from.
Fortunately, my browser offers an easy way to keep tabs open from one session to the next. And there's a good chance yours does, too--no plug-ins or extensions required. This option is available in Chrome and Firefox. Alas, if there's a way to do likewise in Internet Explorer 9, I haven't found it.
Here's how to enable the option in Chrome (shown above):
1. Click the little wrench at the far right of the address bar.
2. Click Options.
3. In the Basics section, enable Reopen the pages that were open last. Then close that Options tab. (It's weird how Chrome doesn't really have a Save option, but that's how it rolls.)
It's a very similar process in Firefox:
1. Click the orange Firefox button, mouse over Options, then click Options. (If you don't have the orange button, click Tools, Options.)
2. In the General tab, click the pull-down next to 'When Firefox starts,' then choose Show my windows and tabs from last time.
3. Click OK.
In both browsers, the change goes into effect immediately, meaning that when you close the browser, whatever tabs you currently have open will reappear when you run it again. Handy, no?

I know this was TECHNICALLY an already-answered issue awhile back - and then was subsequently brought to life again briefly - but I have been experiencing this issue (only twice, but I had about 15 pins; none of which I can bring up from my memory..hence the pins).
I noticed that a few people had posted regarding this question, or regarding a specific answer, but I have yet to find a working solution..at least not one which would assist me in my current situation [the situation being that I am unable to bring the pins BACK wo knowing the URL's - which were plentiful and therefore definitely NOT remembered].
When I noticed that they were missing, it had been hours and an extremely large number of tabs had since been cycled through Chrome.) So, since my anticipated desired result is to somehow restore the pins, and I am unable to RESTORE CLOSED TABS in this instance, and the 'CLICK RESTORE' comment wasnt even a valid comment (lol), I am at a fairly irritating and difficult crossroad..
I do not want to just say 'screw it' because the items I had pinned were all pretty important items..hence the pins..yet I planned on cycling through them within the hour - and therefore made no effort to officially BOOKMARK them.
But my PC restarted in the midle of the night somehow, and the pins were lost.

Is it possible for me to somehow pull them back up, or any type of document, page, software, or anything else would be able to accomplish my desired result??I have a feeling that it is not possible, due to the lack of answers on this page regarding what I would like to do, aside from REOPEN feature. But it never hurts to ask - and maybe if someone else has this problem in the future, any type of answer is better than none, eh?
Thanks in advance to those who choose to (or TRY to) assist me! <3

You can retrieve the tabs or pages by finding them in the history folder. Also, you can bookmark really important pages so that you don't miss them if accidentally your tabs have been closed.
