Why Isn T Google Drive Syncing
Posted : admin On 02.08.2019It definitely seems like a problem with the local DRIVE folder not syncing? (if i drag and drop in to the app on the laptop direct, then all is fine) Also, on the phone, if i go to the incoming screen and swipe down to refresh, i get 'Refresh failed: please check your network connection'. I am definitely connected to the wi-fi.
New files in your cloud account are automatically downloaded onto your device. New files in your device are uploaded. If you delete a file on one side, it will be deleted on the other side. It works across multiple devices (your phone and your tablet). If their folders are synced with the same cloud account, they will be kept in sync with each other.
This is how Google Drive works on computers but not on Android. Two-way automatic synchronization should be an essential function of the official app. For whatever reason, it is not the case. Autosync for Google Drive is here to fill the gap.
All file transfers and communications between user devices and cloud storage servers are securely encrypted and do not go through our servers. No outsiders will be able to decrypt, see or modify any file contents.

Restart Google Drive Sync
My Google Drive app is not syncing even if it's connected to wi-fi. I did not alter any settings.
I tried uninstalling the latest updates (pre-installed on the S6), and re-installing them, but still the same. It won't sync my files.
Google Drive Account
To provide an overview, I have the Google Drive installed on my laptop. I directly save my work files in my Google Drive desktop folder. The icon on the task bar indicates that all my files are in sync. But whenever I check my Google Drive app, it does not reflect the latest changes/uploads/new files on my desktop. To test it out, I transferred all my files from one mother folder to another, waited for it sync but with the same results. Not all my recent files reflected on my app (ie. my PPTs synced, my Word docs did not).
I think I've hit a dead end on this so if anyone could help me I'd appreciate it.
