Keyboard Visualizer Not Working

Posted : admin On 20.07.2019

Just had the same issue with a friends Surface Laptop. First problem was freezing and other issues, decided to reset to factory and wipe the system clean, but the Parsing error decided to show up. Then tried the clean build from the media creation tool. Then the Keyboard would not work at all after rebuilding the OS, needed to plug in an external keyboard.

Once i got the OS installed and configured, I then checked the Device Manager and found numerous items which are showing as 'unknown Device', I updated all the drivers for these, one by one, eventually all were updated and shown as proper devices with a proper driver and BANG, the keyboard was working again.

It seems to be related to the Steelseries s/w NOT detecting the keyboard USB as when I tried to launch the s/w it cannot find the keyboard at all until some random event occurs. Also the same goes for Audio Visualizer not working as well as every other app in engine apps. Steelseries engine is not working in windows 10. Launch Audio Visualizer and watch it adapt to your tunes! Best books to read for women. If the bars on your keyboard aren’t “high” enough, increase the amplitude of the volume of your sound (we will not be responsible for any hearing loss, so please do not overdo that).

What a complete and utter mess, for a piece hardware built by the operating system creator to have these issues is a joke.

Also add to that, this was using the latest media creation tool, which created a 1803 version of windows 10.

MS really need to lift their game, 3 issues all created by the one company and no easy fixes.

Mod Edit: If you perform a clean install with a Surface recovery image, all the drivers will be included to start with. The Windows Media Creation Tool (MCT) does not have all the necessary Surface drivers, so it is necessary to install the Surface drivers after it completes.

Hello Wolf_Pack_2012,
Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to get the visualizer feature in iTunes on your Windows computer to work as you expect. To help with this issue, please follow the relevant steps from this Apple resource on your situation, like testing this issue while iTunes is started in Safe Mode and testing this issue in a new user.

Start iTunes in Safe Mode

When you open iTunes in Safe Mode, you isolate the program from any interference caused by plug-ins or scripts not manufactured by Apple. To start iTunes in safe mode, hold down the Shift and Control keys on your keyboard while you open iTunes.

You'll see a message as iTunes is starting that says 'iTunes is running in Safe Mode. Visual plug-ins you have installed have been temporarily disabled.'

Working

If the issue doesn't happen in Safe Mode, remove any third-party plug-ins.

Create a new user account

Visit the Microsoft website to learn how to create new user accounts for Windows 10, Windows 8, or Windows 7.

If you have the same issue in the new user account, skip to System-wide issues. If you don't experience the same issue, continue to User-specific issues.
